I have worked as a therapist since 2001. I am a psychoanalytically oriented psychotherapist. I work relationally and deeply, with particular attention paid to your history, your dreams and the unconscious dimensions of your speech. I studied psychodrama, a powerful group process, in Washington DC at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital, and worked as an art therapist there as well.

I consider my early work with chronically mentally ill patients, a keen and penetrating ground for cultivating my ongoing humility in working with the humor and pathos of the human condition.

Additionally, I am a working artist, and continue to study the art and science of relational psychotherapy and psychoanalysis through ongoing classes. I am particularily moved by the work of psychoanalysts Jacques Lacan and Anne Du Fourmantelle, both who understood the value of the singularity of each being and the power and influence of the external world upon each individual.
